Hi Everyone,

Yesterday was rather busy and by night I was too tired to write an email.  It's been a very busy week at the temple and at patron housing.  We had the group from Kiribati.  On Friday we had a group come over from Nadi.  By time they were here, patron housing was completely full.  When I left for the temple Saturday morning around 6, there were two sisters asleep on the floor in the waiting area.  We had run out of beds!  We have another group here again this week.  They are from Fiji, about three hours away.  It's bigger than we thought.  They had said there would be 6 sisters, but 13 showed up.  I'm not sure how many brothers.  But we were scrambling for beds once again.  We also had a couple show up we weren't planning on so Monday was an interesting day.  Besides the housing assignment, Lynn has to make sure all their recommends are in order and that never happens.  There's always some with no signatures or no recommends at all.  Thankfully the mission president lives next door and he can sign them.
I went over to the mission president's house on Monday night.  There was a return missionary sister who taught us how to make roti (Fijian tortillas) and lolo buns.  Everything was delicious.  Hopefully I can make them.  The buns are steamed in coconut milk.  She shredded the coconut and then squeezed the milk out of the coconut.  We also went to the LDS Primary School's program one night.  It was amazing.  Each class did a song and native island dance.  They were all in costumes and I couldn't believe how good they were.  There was a HUGE crowd. The church was totally filled and they had a big screen where you could watch it outside.  There had to be another 100 people there.
We are changing flats.  There is a set of senior sister missionaries coming.  They feel our apartment will be better for them.  The apartment we are moving to is still on the temple grounds.  It is probably a little nicer, but we will really miss our view.  We went on a walk yesterday down to Albert Park.  There was a food truck and we decided to give it a try.  It was very good and we didn't get sick!  Lynn had an actual hamburger and he said it tasted like one he would get at home.
I guess the General Young Women and Primary presidency is coming to Fiji, we think next week.  They want to use our van.  Lynn's hoping they will need a driver and that it can be him!  We'll have to tell you how it goes.  They have been cleaning the temple spire.  The one picture is of the men on the temple with brushes, scrubbing it.
It sounds like everyone had a good first week at school.  I can't believe how grown up my grandkids are looking.
Enjoy your last few weeks of summer.  Our summer will just be starting soon.
You're in our prayers and thoughts.
Love, Lynn and Kay
