Happy December!

Can't believe it is December.  It doesn't feel like December here.  It is pretty hot.  Hard to get in the holiday spirit when it's 85 degrees.  Didn't send an email last week because we were busy with family from home.  We had such a great time.  Such a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving.
We did so many fun things.  We went out to an island and spent the day snorkeling, relaxing and enjoying each other.  It was a beautiful place and a good way to start the week.  We stayed at the Wyndham Resort.   It was beautiful.  Lynn and I stayed there before and the kids loved it too.  We went ziplining through the rain forest (first time zip lining for me).  So fun!  Ate Thanksgiving  on Sunday.  I even found a turkey!  It was really pretty good.  We went on a hike through Colo-i-Suva National Forest.  Fun waterfalls and pools to swim in.  Monday was a great day.  We took a boat up the Navua River to Sabata Village.  We walked through the village and met some of the villagers.  We then went to a beautiful waterfall.  Of course, the kids all jumped off the cliffs into the waterfall.  That was the only day it rained.  It didn't stop us from having a blast.  It was probably a good day for rain because we were already wet.  We had lunch and then tubed down the river.  There were some pretty good rapids.  We went back and toured around downtown Suva.  Quite an eye opener for the kids.  Tuesday we did an early morning temple session.  It was so wonderful to be in the temple with them all.  Probably my favorite thing.  The last thing we did was the Eco Trax.  These were bikes that went along the old sugar cane train track to a beautiful beach.  Great way to spend the day.  The next stop was the airport.  It was really hard to see them go, but we made some special memories that we will never forget.
The rest of the week was busy in the temple.  Had a group from Kiribati.  There were five sisters that were at the temple for the first time.  That's always such a great experience to work with them.  On Thursday morning we opened the temple early so that they could bring their little kids over and be sealed.  It's so much easier to do it when the temple is closed for other patrons.  The temple is so small that there's not enough room to accommodate that big of a group with other patrons there.  It was a long day, but totally worth it.
Today we went to a baby blessing of some friends that we have made from our ward.  It's the family that came from Malta.  The two daughters married boys from Fiji and it was the oldest daughter's baby.  Such a beautiful baby.  It's fun to attend church in different places.
Six months down and six months to go!  Enjoy your week.  We love you all and are grateful for your thoughts and messages.
Love,
Lynn and Kay
